Sophie Priestley

Associate Counsel

Sophie Priestley is Associate Counsel at Burford Law, the ABS law firm which supports and complements Burford’s judgment enforcement business in London.

Ms. Priestley joins Burford Law with nearly a decade of experience of commercial dispute resolution litigation at firms Slaughter and May, Herbert Smith Freehills and Freshfields and trained at Linklaters. Ms. Priestley has extensive experience advising on high-profile contentious proceedings, global investigations and white-collar crime, particularly in the Middle East.

Ms. Priestley graduated from the University of Cambridge and The School of Oriental and African Studies and received a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School. She holds an LPC from the College of Law and has a working knowledge of French, Spanish and intermediate Arabic.
