In an article addressing Burford’s 2019 Managing Legal Risk Report: A Survey of CFOs and Finance Professionals, Law Society Gazette reports on the “tens of millions of dollars in unenforced judgments” that companies are owed. The article notes: “In a survey of more than 500 financiers in the UK, US and Canada, 78 percent of respondents said their companies are owed at least $10 million by judgment debtors, while half said their companies are owed $20 million or more.”
