UK Government moves to reverse PACCAR decision, Global Arbitration Review reports

Global Arbitration Review (GAR) reports that the UK Ministry of Justice will bring forward legislation to address uncertainty created by the Supreme Court’s PACCAR ruling and includes remarks from CEO Christopher Bogart, who welcomes the move as an important step toward restoring certainty in the UK legal market.

Bogart says: "We are gratified to see the announcement from the Ministry of Justice that the Government will bring forward legislation to reverse the PACCAR decision. Restoring clarity around the enforceability of litigation funding agreements is an important step for the UK’s globally respected legal system, and we welcome the Government’s commitment to providing that certainty.”
