A Bloomberg Law analysis, entitled "Lit Finance Will Help Drive New Models of Law Practice," mentions Burford's interest in taking minority stakes in law firms.

The analysis states: "The strategy of investing in the law firms themselves, rather than just their current and future cases, could be a win for both investors and firms, the latter of which will be granted much more flexibility to direct resources toward growing their practices with this type of investment."
