Alyx Pattison

Alyx Pattison is a Director at Burford Capital with responsibility for originating legal finance opportunities with US law firms and companies. She focuses primarily on corporate client relationships, drawing on more than a decade of experience as a litigator and advisor.

Prior to joining Burford, Alyx was a partner in the litigation departments of Akerman and Katten, where she represented publicly traded companies in securities class actions, M&A litigation and shareholder derivative suits.

Immediately before joining Burford, Alyx founded and served as president of a political consulting firm, providing legal and FEC compliance advice to state, local and congressional campaigns. She has also been actively involved in initiatives promoting women’s leadership and diversity within the legal profession.

Alyx earned her JD from Northwestern University School of Law and holds a BA from the University of Utah.
