Insurance Insider US research shows legal finance is "not the boogeyman [the insurance] industry paints it out to be"

Recent research from Insurance Insider US on whether litigation finance is causing "social inflation" states that, after diving into the data, the researchers were "unable to find a smoking gun...[concluding] that instead an interplay of several factors, compounded by a post-Covid snapback, is impacting commercial insurance loss trends."
The researchers also note that it's important to differentiate between consumer and commercial legal finance, saying: "LitFin is a multi-layered market, and many segments have no role to play in impacting social inflation for insurers."
