Equity Project Champions: #BreakTheBias for International Women's Day 2022

March 8 is International Women's Day (IWD) and this year's theme is "Break the Bias.

We all have an opportunity to help to break the bias in the workplace and in the business of law. In this video, four Equity Project Champions explain how we can #BreaktheBias—because a more inclusive world leads to better outcomes for everyone: 

  • What law firms and companies are doing that shows real innovation with respect to diversity 

  • The role of the GC in diversity in law 

  • How law firm leaders can retain diverse talent

Mylan Denerstein is a litigation partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Co-Chair of the Public Policy Practice Group and member of the firm's Executive Committee. She represents diverse companies confronting a wide range of legal issues in their most critical times, typically involving federal, state and municipal government agencies.

Roberta D. Liebenberg is a senior partner at Fine, Kaplan and Black in Philadelphia. She focuses her practice on class actions, antitrust and complex commercial litigation, and white collar criminal defense. 

Daniel Winterfeldt MBE QC (Hon) is a Managing Director and the General Counsel for EMEA and Asia at Jefferies. He is a senior corporate and securities lawyer with over 22 years of experience in London and New York. 

Stephanie Carman is a shareholder in the Miami and Washington offices of GrayRobinson, focusing her practice on the health care industry. She provides strategic advice on regulatory issues, transactions, investigations and litigation.
