The American Lawyer reports that Burford Capital has added four senior professionals to its US commercial investment team in New York. The group, which includes Vanessa Biondo, Sam Kwak, Kanika Shah and Stephanie Southwick, brings experience spanning prominent law firms and financial institutions active in legal finance. These hires further strengthen Burford’s ability to underwrite and finance meritorious commercial litigation, including antitrust, breach of contract and bankruptcy and insolvency matters, as well as other complex business disputes.
