Andy Lundberg, Managing Director will speak on the panel “Social Inflation and Nuclear Verdicts” during the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Property and Casualty Insurance Law 2026 program. The session will take place on April 22 at 2:15pm.

This session will examine the key forces driving outsized jury awards and the implications for insurers, policyholders, and the broader litigation landscape. Panelists will explore how social inflation and shifting litigation dynamics are influencing case valuation, settlement behavior and risk exposure across the market.

Discussion topics will include the meaning and impact of social inflation, nuclear verdicts, nuisance settlements, and tort reform; recent verdict and settlement trends; and approaches to benchmarking case value.

Andy will be joined by Seth Row, Robert J. Gilbert, and Shari L. Klevens.
