Evan Meyerson

Evan Meyerson is a Managing Director at Burford Capital and a member of the Commitments Committee. He leads Burford’s US commercial legal finance business, overseeing underwriting, origination and portfolio management activities, with a focus on assessing and managing risk across Burford’s portfolio of complex commercial litigation matters.

Prior to joining Burford, Evan was a litigator at Paul, Weiss and Sullivan & Cromwell, where he advised clients on complex civil litigation, antitrust matters, white collar defense, bankruptcy litigation, internal investigations and government enforcement matters. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst at Bain Capital, evaluating venture capital investment opportunities. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

Evan earned his JD, cum laude from Harvard Law School, and graduated with a BA, magna cum laude from Dartmouth College.
