Jim Ballan

Jim Ballan is Director, Head of Investor Relations, Americas, with responsibility for ensuring that public markets investors are accurately informed about Burford.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Ballan was Director, Investor Relations, at CIT Group, and served as head of investor relations for Franklin Square Capital Partners (now FS Investments) and PHH Corporation.

Prior to his work in investor relations, Mr. Ballan spent 20 years on Wall Street, including 12 years as a sell-side analyst in both credit and equities at Lazard Capital Markets, JP Morgan, Bear Stearns and CIBC Oppenheimer. His coverage included a variety of industries within the Financials and Telecommunications sectors. Mr. Ballan began his career in commercial and investment banking, and has worked at Lehman Brothers, Citibank, Wertheim Schroder and United Jersey Bank.

Mr. Ballan earned his BA from Northwestern University and MBA from Columbia Business School.
