Michael Redman

Michael Redman is a co-Head of EMEA and head of the London office with responsibility for the business generated and managed out of the UK and Europe. Mr. Redman continues to be deeply involved in asset recovery and contentious insolvency matters in particular, while also overseeing origination and underwriting across the region. Mr. Redman is a leading authority on enforcement finance and complex asset recovery with almost two decades of experience in the field.

A trained barrister, Mr. Redman began his career in the Lloyd’s of London political and credit risk insurance market and also spent time in the west African diamond industry. He has worked in complex asset recovery and enforcement for close to two decades, holding senior private sector positions in both Moscow and London before co-founding a leading asset recovery advisory boutique. Mr. Redman has worked on many commercial and sovereign enforcement actions and has overseen multi-jurisdictional asset recovery investments as well those arising from insolvencies in the common law offshore world.

Mr. Redman earned degrees from University College, London and Cambridge and was called to the Bar of England & Wales.
