Philip Braverman

Philip Braverman is Managing Director, Tax & HR with responsibility for ensuring that Burford structures its activities in a tax efficient manner while maintaining its status as a good corporate taxpayer in the jurisdictions in which it operates.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Braverman was Managing Director of Tax & Strategic Finance for The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. Previously, he was Vice President, Global Tax at Moody’s Corporation, and held senior tax roles at Moody’s Corporation, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and Bestfoods. He practiced law at Proskauer Rose and at Hughes Hubbard.

Mr. Braverman graduated from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a Commentary Editor of the Law Review.
