Robert Bailhache

Robert Bailhache is Head of Investor Relations with responsibility for directing Burford’s public market investor relations activities. In this role, Mr. Bailhache helps ensure that capital market participants are accurately informed about Burford to assist the optimal valuation of the Company’s shares and bonds.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Bailhache was a Director of Communications for Direct Line Group, where he was an Executive Committee member. He previously served as the Head of Group Press Office for HSBC Holdings, where he was responsible for global media relations. Mr. Bailhache worked with Burford Capital for a number of years in agency roles, first as Managing Director, Financial Services at FTI Consulting, where he led financial communications advice on the Company’s initial public offering in 2009. More recently, he has advised Burford from Neustria Partners and Montfort Communications.

Mr. Bailhache earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham and a master’s degree from the University of London. He is a holder of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s R01 (Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics), R02 (Investment Principles and Risk) and R03 (Personal Taxation) certificates, as well as The Investor Relations Society’s Certificate in Investor Relations.
