Elizabeth Shin is a Senior Vice President at Burford Capital with responsibility for originating and evaluating legal finance opportunities in South Korea. Based in Seoul, she works with companies and law firms to develop legal risk management and financing solutions, supporting clients involved in disputes both within Korea and internationally.

Prior to joining Burford, Elizabeth was a senior foreign attorney at Lee & Ko, one of South Korea’s leading law firms. Her experience includes advising clients on complex cross-border disputes.

Elizabeth earned an LLM from the University of London, completed the LPC at Brierley Price Prior Law School and received her LLB from the University of Southampton. She is fluent in Korean.

She is also admitted to the New York State Bar.
