Burford Senior Vice President Andrew Cohen will be participating in the Center for the Study of Capitalism's panel on November 10, at 01:00 PM EST.
The session entitled "Litigation Finance: Revolutionizing Litigation" will dive into the growth of litigation finance from a way to capitalize litigation, and first embraced by plaintiff law firms who are dependent largely upon often long delayed contingency fees to an industry that has grown astronomically, and has been embraced in many countries, by corporations and the defense bar, to the point where many large law firms have developed their own funds. The panel will answer some key question like "Where will this all lead? Will litigation funding revolutionize the practice of law beyond its already significant disruption? What are its impacts on legal strategies, outcomes and even settlement negotiations?"
The Center for the study of Capitalism supports the public’s ability to make informed choices and construct a society rooted in well-functioning capitalism.
