This week, three members of the Burford Capital patent team were named to the 2017 Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Strategy 300. The annual list once again positions Managing Director Ashley Keller, IP Principal Katharine Wolanyk and Vice President Eric Carlson among the world’s leading intellectual property strategists. Ashley and Katharine have now been named to the IAM 300 three years running, while Eric is making his first appearance.
IAM’s rankings cement Burford’s status as not only the world’s largest provider of litigation finance capital, but also the firm with the deepest expertise and experience in financing IP litigation. With Burford’s acquisition of Gerchen Keller Capital in late 2016, its IP team has grown to include former IP litigation partners from AmLaw 100 firms, as well as licensing and monetization executives who have worked across numerous industries.
The IAM Strategy 300 is compiled annually, based on in-depth research to select industry leaders who possess world-class skills in the development and execution of strategies that maximize the value of intellectual property rights. To earn this distinction, individuals must be nominated by at least three peers outside of their firms and then vetted by an IAM team based across the globe.
