Daniel Hall, Managing Director at Burford Capital, and Joe Durkin, Senior Vice President at Burford Capital, will be participating in the Restructuring Insolvency and Legal Practitioners Association (RILPA) Conference. Joe will be chairing the conference and Daniel will be speaking on the panel “Disruption across the MENA region: Developments in Contentious Insolvency Situations and the Distressed Debt Market.” The conference starts at 8:30am GST and the panel discussion will take place at 11:00am GST.
The panel will discuss the insolvencies in the construction sector with a focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The session will then continue by talking about what to expect regarding infrastructure disputes in Qatar in the aftermath of the World Cup.
RILPA was formed to promote the support and development of the insolvency and restructuring industry in the UAE and it has been set up to hold international and regional events across GCC countries and the wider MENA region.
