Mick Smith participates in LexisNexis webinar

Mick Smith, Principal at Burford, recently participated in the webinar “Litigation and arbitration funding” hosted by LexisNexis. The webinar was released on August 2.

Third-party funding of investor-state and international commercial arbitration is on the rise. In the latest Queen Mary/White & Case International Arbitration Survey, a stunning 97 percent of respondents said they were aware of outside funding in arbitration and had a positive perception of it—particularly those who had used it. The session will provide an overview on the growth of litigation finance within the arbitration space, and Mick was joined by Susan Dunn (Harbour Litigation Funding) and Neil Purslow (Therium).
