Quentin Pak, Director at Burford, will be speaking at the panel “The Current State of Arbitration in India — Recent Developments” hosted by the CPR Arbitration Committee. The Zoom event will take place on 23 September at 6:00pm IST.
In December 2019, the CPR Arbitration Committee published a supplement to the Corporate Counsel Manual focusing on the ADR regime in India. This discussion will speak on cutting-edge and topical issues including litigation funding of India-related disputes, recent and proposed amendments to the Indian Arbitration Act and the Indian Supreme Court’s decisions on whether Indian parties may choose a foreign seat of arbitration. Quentin will be joined by Rishab Gupta (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas), Sanjeev Kapoor (Khaitan & Co.), Shaheen Parikh (Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas) and Tapasi Sil (GE Renewable Energy.)
