Jeffery Commission, Director and Head of Arbitration at Burford Capital, will speak on the panel, "An Unchanged Treaty in a Changing World: The New York Convention’s Road Horizon," at New York Arbitration Week on November 17 from 10:30am EST in New York City.

The session will examine emerging challenges to the New York Convention and its role in the recognition and enforcement of international arbitration agreements and awards. Panelists will explore how developments involving anti-suit injunctions, sovereign immunity and the treatment of intra-EU arbitral awards as unlawful state aid are testing established principles of international arbitration.

Mr. Commission will be joined by Professor George A. Bermann (Columbia Law School), Joe Profaizer (Linklaters) and Gerard Meijer (Linklaters).
