Juan Jimenez

Juan Jimenez, CFA, is Burford's Treasurer with responsibility for overseeing all activities and risks related to liquidity and cash management, funding, currency and interest rates, as well as managing our relationships with rating agencies.

Mr. Jimenez has over a decade of experience in treasury-related and corporate finance functions. Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Jimenez most recently worked as Director of Corporate Treasury at Colgate-Palmolive where he was responsible for Colgate’s cash operations, managing liquidity and foreign exchange and providing strategic leadership to the Asia-Pacific, North America and Latin America treasury centers. He also worked at General Motors in various treasury and portfolio management roles during his time at the New York Treasurer's Office and GM Asset Management (GMAM). He began his career at the Trade Commission of Spain where he became the Director of the Investment Department and advised multiple US multinationals and Fortune 500 companies on their expansion plans in Spain.

Mr. Jimenez earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Seville (Spain), and earned a MA in Economics from De Montfort University (UK) and an MBA from Columbia Business School (US).
