Chief Marketing Officer
Liz Bigham is Chief Marketing Officer with responsibility for Burford’s brand, marketing and communications globally. In addition to building the commercial legal finance industry’s most recognized brand, she leads a global team of marketing and communications professionals who collaborate to support Burford’s continued growth.
Ms. Bigham helped launch and is among the leaders of The Equity Project, Burford’s award-winning initiative designed to address the diversity gap in law, which augments corporate and law firm ESG and DEI initiatives. As of March 2022, Burford has committed over $100 million to back commercial litigation and arbitration matters led by female and racially diverse lawyers.
Prior to joining Burford, Ms. Bigham was the Executive Vice President of Marketing for Jack Morton Worldwide, a top-ranked global marketing services agency that is part of the Interpublic Group. At Jack Morton, Ms. Bigham led a global team that increased awareness and generated growth for the agency and that was recognized with multiple awards for excellence, including numerous Communicator Awards and Webby honors. Prior to joining Jack Morton, Ms. Bigham worked in curatorial departments at New York cultural institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum for African Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Ms. Bigham has a master’s degree in Art History from Columbia University, where she was a Presidential Fellow, and graduated from Barnard College, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
