Burford Insights: How can corporates use the new ERA Pledge guidelines?

Burford is committed to improving the representation of women in the legal profession—in leadership positions in law firms, in first chair roles in litigation and on international arbitral tribunals—which is why we launched The Equity Project and why we are a signatory to the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge.

Burford's Giulia Previti, Vice President with responsibility for assessing and underwriting legal risk in investment treaty and international commercial arbitration matters, is a member of the ERA Pledge Corporate Subcommittee. In this video, she explains the launch of the new Pledge corporate guidelines:

  • What the ERA Pledge is and why the subcommittee was formed

  • How companies can use the new corporate guidelines to ensure they are offering equal opportunities to women arbitrators and arbitration lawyers

  • How companies can use tools like the Pledge and The Equity Project to insist on fair representation at their law firms
