Katharine Wolanyk to speak at IPWatchdog LIVE

Katharine Wolanyk, Managing Director at Burford, will be speaking in the panel “Patent Funders: So Much More Patent Litigation Financing” as part of the 2022 IPWatchdog Live conference. The session will take place on September 12 at 9:30am CT.

Finance has increasingly entered the patent litigation space over the last several years, and more recently insurance too, with a great deal of money almost flooding the marketplace now. The deals and variety of vehicles being used now are highly structured and increasingly complex. For that reason, today it is probably better to think of “patent funders” as dealmakers, or perhaps financiers. Simply funding patent litigation is only a piece of what they are doing. Katharine will be reviewing the evolution of the patent litigation finance practice alongside Anup Misra (Curiam Capital) and Phil Hartstein (Soryn IP Capital).
