Suzanne Grosso
Senior Vice President
Suzanne Grosso is a Senior Vice President with responsibility for assessing, structuring, and overseeing investments in high-value commercial litigation and arbitration matters as part of Burford's legal finance and case management teams.
Prior to joining Burford, Ms. Grosso was Associate General Counsel and Head of Litigation for TIAA, where she drove strategy and actively managed significant litigation matters for the Fortune 100 financial institution. Ms. Grosso began her legal career as a litigator at Debevoise & Plimpton. Her diverse litigation practice included complex domestic and international commercial disputes, which she saw from initial risk assessment through trial, appeal and judgment execution. Most recently, Ms. Grosso was Judicial Clerk (permanent), Social Security Disability Appeals for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and a litigation consultant for the Center for Reproductive Rights. Before law school, Ms. Grosso began her career as a tax associate at Arthur Andersen.
Ms. Grosso earned her BS in accounting and finance summa cum laude from New York University, where she was the valedictorian of her class, and her JD cum laude from Harvard Law School. She clerked for the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
