Singapore’s The Business Times reports on the role of legal finance in securities-related disputes and how lawyers and industry observers say that allowing it “would better equip investors to pursue claims against errant players and receive financial compensation.”
In the article, Burford CEO Christopher Bogart says that he would like to see legal finance extended to securities-related claims: “We appreciate that the government has taken a very methodological approach to [permitting legal finance], and now we would like to see that speed up a little.”
